The Denver Post has reported that the Yankees are interested in Colorado Rockies' pitcher Brian Fuentes.The pitcher would be a great addition to a Yankees' bullpen that is currently lacking left handed options following the demotion of Billy Traber to AAA earlier this year.Fuentes has been hard on left handed batters this season, limiting them to just a .118 batting average.It's unclear what the Yankees would have to give up, but he would be a worthwhile addition to the New York bullpen if the deal is right. A massive re-write is underway right now for tonight's Raw.Umaga vs Jeff Hardy was a great match, mayhem throughout. I loved the bit where Hardy slid down the banister of the stairs into Umaga I will say this though. I have never seen such an obvious botch as the Swanton off the truck. We could see the tech guys pull the mat away from under them. If you didn't spot it, look again.I really like the I Quit match.
Very solid throughout, and Beth Phoenix is proving she is as tough as anyone on the roster. Both women put in a great performance, but surely Beth must now be in-line for a title shot?The first-blood match wasn't too good It was a bit boring, a bit forced. In my opinion, no first-blood match will ever match up to the one at Fully Loaded 1999, between Austin and Undertaker. The Mike Adamle sketch was funny though, nice comic relief there. Todd Grisham can do the disappointed/terrified look so well.Singapore Cane match was very good, lots of shots, looked so painful. Big Show ended up with a massive gash above his eye, after falling on the steps He got up, and put simply, murdered everyone.
Tommy Dreamer must have a banging headache right now.Batista vs Shawn Michaels A very rare defeat for HBK here. He's lost very few matches this year, and it was a surprise result for me as Batista is due to take some time off very soon.On a closing note, hats off to Mick Foley. He's been a breath of fresh air to the commentating situation on Smackdown, and works very well with Michael Cole.
